The FBI has released hundreds of documents relating to the infamous 1971 jet hijacker “DB Cooper.”
His true identity remains a mystery. The files provide a historical review of the FBI investigation into the storied hijacking but do not show a clearer picture of the hijacker’s potential identity.
The FBI archives detail the intensive search to find the hijacker who put on a parachute and jumped with a reported $200,000 ransom payment from a Boeing jet on Nov. 24, 1971. He was never captured or positively identified.
