“The one-year survival rate for Stage four pancreatic cancer patients is 18 percent,” Trebek said in a video on Twitter Wednesday. “I’m very happy to report I have just reached that marker.”
He went on to say that although the battle with cancer has not been easy, he “quickly” brushed aside negative thoughts thanks to his own faith and the support of his wife, fans and loved ones.
Trebek is hopeful that he’ll reach the two-year milestone of surviving pancreatic cancer.
“You know something, if I, no, if we – because so many of us are involved in this same situation – if we take it just one day at a time with a positive attitude, anything is possible,” Trebek said.
