WASHINGTON (WMAL) – For the second time in two weeks, a Naval Academy midshipman has died.
Friday morning, the Brigade of Midshipman, faculty, staff and coaches were told that a midshipman was found unresponsive in Bancroft Hall Thursday night. The Naval Academy Tweeted it’s not sure how he died, but foul play is not suspected.
The midshipman will not be publicly identified until his family is notified.
Counselors are available for anyone at the academy who needs to talk.
Another midshipman, 21-year-old sophomore Duke Carillo, died February 8th while taking the semi-annual physical readiness test.
