WASHINGTON– The man behind dozens of Peanuts holiday specials including “A Charlie Brown Christmas” has died.
Lee Mendleson lost his battle with Cancer on Christmas Day at the age of 86.
The official announcement was made by the Charles M. Schultz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA.

Mendelson also wrote the lyrics for the song “Christmas Time is Here”.
