WASHINGTON (WMAL) – Metro riders can expect extended service for the Washington Nationals’ National League Wild Card game against the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday night.
Officials released a statement on Monday detailing the schedule changes ahead of the Nationals’ wild card game against the Brewers and Game 2 of the Washington Mystics’ series against the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA Finals.

Along with providing additional trains on the Green Line before and after the game, Metro officials said all trains will also continue to run at least 20 minutes after the end of the wild card game.
Officials added that the trains would run up to one hour later than Metro’s normal closing time, if necessary.
“While this announcement addresses the immediate concern around Tuesday’s games, the Metro Board will take up the broader issues concerning Metro’s closing time and accommodating fans during playoff season in the coming months,” Metro officials said in a statement.
