5am – A/B/C President Trump Wants To Face His Accuser: “Like every American, I deserve to meet my accuser, especially when this accuser, the so-called ‘Whistleblower,’ represented a perfect conversation with a foreign leader in a totally inaccurate and fraudulent way,” Trump tweeted. “Then Schiff made up what I actually said by lying to Congress.”

5am – D         New York City Law Allows Fines Up To $250,000 For Saying ‘Illegal Alien’:  In addition, “derogatory use of the word ‘illegal alien’” can result in a fine. “The guidance states that the use of the term ‘illegal alien,’ among others, when used with the intent to demean, humiliate, or harass a person, is illegal under the law.”  Democratic Mayor Bill De Blasio promoted the new policy on Twitter and warned others that they will face “consequences” for insulting illegal immigrants. “If you want to come into the ultimate city of immigrants and try to spread hate, you WILL face the consequences,” De Blasio said.

6am – D/E     Robert Deniro drops F bombs on CNN’s “Reliable Sources” show with Brian Stelter. On this week’s broadcast of CNN’s “Reliable Sources,” actor Robert De Niro criticized President Donald Trump and Fox News. De Niro said, “I think they have but no choice to have an impeachment inquiry. It has to happen. There’s no way around it.” He continued, “If it wasn’t for you, CNN, MSNBC and some other outlets, The New York Times, The Washington Post, I mean, where are we? This is a crazy world. What is going on? This guy is crazy. We’ve got to get him out.” When asked to clarify, De Niro said, “Possibly medically, too. I’m starting to think. I didn’t think that before, but now I actually — when I saw him out in front of the helicopter waiting to go somewhere and talking endlessly and sweating and sweating and not even —I said, this guy is not even aware of what he’s—he should at least ask somebody for a handkerchief or something and dry himself off. There is something very strange about that.”

• Giuliani was not working alone in Biden Ukraine probe. (Fox News) – Rudy Giuliani was not the only attorney trying to get damaging information on Joe Biden from Ukrainian officials, and President Trump’s decision to withhold aid from Ukraine this summer was made in spite of several federal agencies supporting the aid, Fox News’ Chris Wallace revealed on “Fox News Sunday.” In addition to Giuliani, Washington, D.C., lawyers Joe DiGenova and his wife, Victoria Toensing, worked alongside the former New York City mayor. According to a top U.S. official, the three attorneys were working “off the books” — not within the Trump administration — and only the president knows the details of their work. DiGenova and Toensing have been staunch supporters of President Trump, and were close to joining his legal team during Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation. That ultimately did not happen due to conflicts, as Toensing had previously represented witnesses who had already spoken to Mueller’s team.

7am – E         Clinton: Trump’s ‘Guilty Conscience’ Over 2016 Is Why He’s ‘Obsessed With Me’. “I know that he knows that this wasn’t on the level,” Clinton said about Trump’s election. Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton said President Donald Trump “knows he’s an illegitimate president” in an interview in which she called for him to be impeached and removed from office. CBS Sunday Morning‘s Jane Pauley asked why no Democratic candidates want to talk about Clinton, the party’s previous nominee, while Trump likes to bring her up on Twitter and in speeches. Clinton said it’s all a product of Trump’s guilty conscience about 2016.

• Eddie Murphy expresses remorse for “ignorant” jokes in ‘Raw’ & ‘Delirious.’ Eddie Murphy ‘cringes’ at old ‘ignorant’ stand-up material. (NY Times) – Eddie Murphy opens up to the New York Times in preparation for his impending comeback. In an interview with the New York Times, Eddie Murphy discussed the past few decades in preparation for his impending return to the spotlight. Over the next year, Murphy will have a starring role as Rudy Ray Moore in Dolemite is My Name!; host Saturday Night Live for the first time in 35 years; and star in a sequel to 1988’s Coming to America. Additionally, Murphy will record a stand-up comedy special for Netflix, his first feature since Raw in 1987. When asked about the revered classics, Murphy revealed that he cringes at his old material. He admits he was dealing with a breakup at the time. “I was a young guy processing a broken heart, you know, kind of an asshole,” he said. Murphy references being picketed due to the homophobic material in his specials (which he now recognizes as “ignorant”) as recently as 1996. With that considered, he says there’s no anxiety about returning to the stage in 2019. According to Murphy, his new material won’t be as self-centered as his work in the eighties. As a father of eight children, the experience is vastly different.
• Luke Skywalker called out for ‘fraud’ comment on Ivanka’s fam photo. (Fox News) – Mark Hamill slammed on social media for ‘fraud’ comment on Ivanka Trump’s Instagram picture. Mark Hamill, the actor famous for his role as Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars,” received some blowback for his comment on a family picture Ivanka Trump posted on Instagram where one of her sons was dressed as a storm trooper. The photo was simple enough: Ivanka was in a strapless evening dress and she stood next to her husband, Jared Kushner, who was in a tuxedo. Off to Ivanka’s side stood a small storm trooper who played it up for the camera. She posted, “The Force is strong in my family.” Hamill tweeted out the photo with the comment: “You misspelled “Fraud.” His hashtag was #GoForceyourself. One commenter on social media wrote, “It’s a child in a Star Wars costume, Mark.” Another wrote, “Way to attack a child.”

• ON FRIDAY: SEAN DAVIS: The intelligence community secretly eliminated a requirement that whistleblower complaints contain only direct, first-hand knowledge of wrongdoing allegations. A new version of the complaint form allowing hearsay was secretly revised last month.

8am – E         Beto Goes to Kent State, Argues Only the Government Can Be Trusted With Guns. (Reason Magazine) – Someone should tell Beto who did the killing at Kent State. Of all the places to argue that only the government should be trusted with guns, Beto O’Rourke picked…Kent State University. Kent State is, of course, the location of the infamous 1970 shooting that left four students dead and nine others injured. The shots were fired not by private citizens but by members of the Ohio National Guard, who shot at a crowd protesting America’s involvement in the Vietnam War.
