Lawsuit Suggests Spying On Trump Campaign Started In Early 2016
Late last week, Svetlana Lokhova, a Russian-born English citizen, sued presumed Spygate frontman Stefan Halper and three media giants—the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and MSNBC—for defamation and conspiracy, alleging the defendants falsely painted her as a Russian spy and Michael Flynn paramour in order to push the Russia collusion narrative.
Lokhova’s 66-page complaint reads more like a political shock jock transcript than a legal document: “Stefan Halper is a ratf—er and a spy, who embroiled an innocent woman in a conspiracy to undo the 2016 Presidential election and topple the President of the United States of America,” her lawsuit opened. But behind the colorful language—clearly crafted for public consumption—Lokhova’s lawsuit lays out facts that suggest spying on the Trump campaign began in early 2016 and with the aid of British intelligence. Impact of Barr’s Declassification Authority Triggers Political, Media Panic (Epoch Times)
On May 23, 2019, President Trump issued a Memorandum giving declassification authorization to Attorney General William Barr. The memo noted that AG Barr has full authority to “declassify, downgrade, or direct the declassification or downgrading of information or intelligence that relates to the Attorney General’s review.”
The memo was addressed to the Secretaries of the State, Treasury, Energy, Defense, and Homeland Security Departments—along with the Directors for National Intelligence and the CIA. Also included was the Attorney General, which by default inherently covers the FBI. [Read More]
WASHINGTON, DC – States may dispose in a dignified manner of the bodies of unborn children who died during abortion, the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 on Monday, while declining to weigh in on sex-selection abortions until another federal appeals court weighs in on such a law.
The bodies of unborn children are typically disposed of in the same manner as “infectious waste.” Indiana lawmakers wanted to address that issue in 2016, and then Gov.-Mike Pence signed a law providing for disposing of the remains of the unborn by either cremation or burial. The Indiana statute also prohibited a woman’s aborting an unborn baby solely because of that child’s race, sex, or disability. [Read More]
Justice Clarence Thomas said Tuesday the Supreme Court will not be able to duck the issue of abortion forever and raised concerns about the potential for abortion to “become a tool of eugenic manipulation.”
Thomas’ warning came in a concurring opinion in which he agreed with a decision by the Supreme Court not to review a provision of an Indiana law that bans abortion on the basis of race, sex, or disability. In an unsigned opinion, the high court upheld another provision of the law that mandates the burial or cremation of fetal remains after an abortion.
The measures at the center of the dispute were signed in 2016 by then-Gov. Mike Pence. [Read More]
How the Kennedy family is trying to strip Trump of his power (New York Post)
Chuck Duncan is not the kind of guy who sits on the sidelines.
Duncan, who serves in the National Guard and was deployed to Jordan last year, was outraged when his local board of supervisors decided to raise property taxes to pay for a $32 million community center here. “I saw that as irresponsible, so I decided to run. It was as simple as that,” Duncan said.
On Tuesday night, he battled it out in a three-way primary for Derry Township supervisor — and won. [Read More]
As parts of Ohio braced for tornado-producing severe weather on Monday night, Dayton Fox 45 weatherman Jamie Simpson warned local viewers of potentially life-threatening situations in a live emergency broadcast. Unfortunately, what would eventually become a “catastrophic,” deadly tornado had the nerve to coincide with a new episode of The Bachelorette — and Bachelor Nation fans were none too pleased at the interruption. Fox 45 is a Sinclair-owned dual Fox and MyNetworkTV affiliate that also owns Dayton’s ABC 22, which airs the popular reality dating series.
As such, viewers took to social media to complain, and let’s just say Simpson was not amused with the feedback, launching into a validated rant that quickly went viral: [Read More]
