The U.S. Secret Service tweeted out a statement on Tuesday regarding an incident where a Secret Service officer was involved in a vehicle accident near the Number One Observatory Circle, the residence of Vice President Mike Pence.
Today at approximately 11:35 a.m., a Secret Service Uniformed Division Motorcycle Officer was involved in a vehicle accident at 34th St. & Mass Ave NW, Washington, DC

According to the Secret Service, the accident occurred at 34th St. & Mass Ave NW, Washington, DC, at approximately 11:35 a.m. The officer who was struck was a Secret Service uniformed division motorcycle officer.
In a separate tweet from the Secret Service, the agency confirmed that the officer was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The agency also mentioned that the Metropolitan Police Department is conducting the investigation surrounding the accident.
