COLUMBUS, OH — (WMAL) Officials say a plane headed to Washington, D.C. from St. Louis had to be diverted in central Ohio after a disruptive passenger made threatening remarks.
Dulles International Airport Spokesperson David Whitaker says the United Express flight landed safely at Port Columbus National Airport. FBI removed the 53 passengers on board and used dogs to search luggage.
He says no issues were found, so passengers were able to resume travel. He says two people were interviewed by the FBI but were later released.
He added that he could not provide further information on the people or the alleged threats.
This caused brief disruption to airport operations, forcing another place to divert to Dayton.
