Cohen attorney jeered on NBC after soliciting GoFundMe donations (The Hill)
Michael Cohen’s attorney on Wednesday was booed by a live studio audience on Megyn Kelly’s NBC program after asking viewers to fund his client’s GoFundMe page.
The moment on “Megyn Kelly Today” comes one day after Cohen, the president’s former attorney, pleaded guilty to charges of bank fraud, tax fraud and campaign finance law violations.
“Could I just take one opportunity to remind everyone that Michael Cohen has suffered a tragic and difficult experience with his family?” Cohen attorney Lanny Davis said during a satellite interview with Kelly. “He’s without resources and we’ve set up a website called michaelcohentruth.com that we’re hoping that he will get some help from the American people so that he can continue to tell the truth.” [Read More]

A body believed to be that of Mollie Tibbetts, a 20-year-old student at the University of Iowa who vanished a month ago after going for a jog, was found on Tuesday morning, investigators announced, and a 24-year-old undocumented immigrant was charged with first-degree murder.
President Trump, who has repeatedly linked crime to illegal immigration, alluded to the case at a rally Tuesday evening in West Virginia.
“You heard about today with the illegal alien coming in, very sadly from Mexico, and you saw what happened to that incredible, beautiful young woman,” Mr. Trump said. “It should’ve never happened. Illegally in our country. We’ve had a huge impact, but the laws are so bad, the immigration laws are such a disgrace.” [Read More]
Donald Trump Jr. said Wednesday that Sen. Elizabeth Warren doesn’t care about “actual Americans” after she dodged a question from CNN about slain Iowa college student Mollie Tibbetts.
Ms. Warren was asked by CNN host John Berman to comment on the death of Ms. Tibbetts, who was allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrant. “Mike Pence and the president have suggested the immigration laws need to be stronger so that people like this man who is accused of this murder were not in the country. Your reaction?” Mr. Berman asked.
Ms. Warren began by offering condolences to Ms. Tibbetts’ family, but quickly shifted to the need for immigration reform to focus on “real problems,” like the treatment of illegal immigrants at the border. She cited President Trump’s now-reversed immigration policy that resulted in hundreds of migrant children being separated from their families. [Read More]
Ben Jealous Wants Free Community College For Illegal Immigrants In Maryland (WMAL)
Maryland’s Democratic gubernatorial candidate is calling for free community college for Dreamers – illegal immigrants brought to America as children.Speaking along with immigrant advocates, including CASA and DACA recipients, at a press conference Wednesday, Ben Jealous said every Marylander, regardless of immigration status, deserves the opportunity to go to college. Paying for DACA-eligible immigrants to to go community college is part of his larger plan to make community college free for all Marylanders.
“A free college education for anyone who wants an opportunity to get an education should be available, and it should be available to anyone no matter their immigrant status because no one is illegal,” said Gabrielle Hernandez, a DACA recipient who attends Prince George’s Community College. Appearing on MSNBC’s The Beat early Tuesday night, frequent MSNBC guest and Fordham University Professor Christina Greer smeared the memory of late University of Iowa student Mollie Tibbetts as “a girl in Iowa” that “Fox News is talking about” instead of going all-in on the plea deal for Michael Cohen and the verdict in the Paul Manafort trial.
Both legal stories dominated Fox News Channel programming on Tuesday with multiple segments every hour, but that didn’t stop Greer from making that sweeping generalization and trivializing the death of a young college student allegedly at the hands of an illegal alien from Mexico. [Read More]

LANNY DAVIS: REPORTS ABOUT MICHAEL COHEN’S TRUMP TOWER CLAIMS WERE ‘GARBLED’ (The Daily Caller)
Lanny Davis said Tuesday that there is a “complication” to the bombshell story published in 2017 that Michael Cohen claims President Donald Trump had prior knowledge of the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting.
In two separate interviews with CNN, Davis said there is “some truth” to reports that Cohen is willing to tell special counsel Robert Mueller that Trump knew about the meeting, which took place between Donald Trump Jr. and a group of Russians on June 9, 2016.
But Davis said there was a “complication” in the reporting that Cohen’s legal team was “never able to correct.” He also said the reporting on the topic was “garbled.” [Read More]

Arkansas is the most sexist state in the nation while New Hampshire is the least, according to an index of sexist attitudes developed by economists at the University of Chicago, Northwestern University and National University Singapore.
Kerwin Kofi Charles and his colleagues wanted to know how the prevalence of sexist beliefs in the places where women grew up and in the places they worked as adults affected outcomes such as wages, workforce participation, and age at marriage and childbirth. To do that, they gathered multiple years of data from the General Social Survey, a biennial nationally representative survey measuring Americans’ beliefs on a wide variety of subjects. [Read More]
