WASHINGTON (WMAL) – There’s a stepped up police presence at J.E.B Stuart High School in Falls Church Friday after a threatening message was found written in pencil on a towel dispenser in a boy’s bathroom Tuesday.
Fairfax County Police Lt. Eli Corey said the message threatened violence at the school Friday. He didn’t get into specifics of what was written.
As soon as the threat was reported to police, Corey said the department starting looking into who wrote it and whether it was credible.
This is not the first threat made against the school according to Corey, and every one is taken very seriously.
“We look into each one to our fullest extent because we have to – for the safety of the students, for the safety of the public, and for the peace of mind of everybody in Fairfax County ,” Corey said.
Anyone with information about this latest threat is asked to call Fairfax County Police.
