WASHINGTON-  Nationals fans might have a good season to look forward to after Sports Illustrated’s latest World Series prediction on Tuesday.

This year, the sports magazine’s staff predicted the Nationals and Yankees to face off, with the Nationals winning their first World Series.

The magazine cited the Nationals’ last season when they won 97 games, the second most in the National League.

Sports Illustrated wrote that the team’s chances are even better with the return of Adam Eaton. Other new faces added from last season, Sean Doolittle, Ryan Madson and Brandon Kintzler are said to impact the Nationals’ performance this season, according to the magazine.

This would be the third time the magazine has picked the Nats as World Series winners – and we all know how those previous predictions turned out.
