LISTEN: DR. SEBASTIAN GORKA Reacts to President Trump Firing Rex Tillerson

Listen as Larry spoke with Dr. Sebastian Gorka, FOX News National Security Strategist and NYT Bestseller author of “DEFEATING JIHAD”, regarding Rex Tillerson’s departure from the Trump administration as Secretary of State, reports of James Clapper leaking information and more.

During the interview, O’Connor asked Gorka about James Clapper’s reckless behavior when it comes to leaking information:

O’Connor: Seb Gorka, I know you’re a big fan of both Lee Smith and Sara Carter’s reporting and writing and they are regular guests here. We just had Sara Carter on yesterday but both of them have been writing about what now appears clear that there were some major leaks going on in the later days of the Obama administration at the hands, apparently, of James Clapper and, quite possibly, John Brennan. I’d love for someone who worked in this White House during that time and during that transition to reflect on that and reflect on Clapper and Brennan and specifically and what they did to the intelligence community.

Gorka: Let me share with you a little story about who Clapper was. When he was the head of the DIA, this is an individual in the 1990s, just after the Berlin Wall had fallen, decided to give a pink full access Pentagon pass to the resident FSB former KGB Chief of Stations at the Russian Embassy in Washington. Think about that Larry. He gave a pink pass, a Pentagon pass, to the head of intelligence gathering at the Russian embassy until his own staff revolted against him and said, “You cannot have this guy walking around the halls of the Pentagon unescorted”. It’s one of the classic cases of incompetence being promoted to the highest levels of government. And I am not surprised that this person was leaking to his friends in the fake news industrial complex.

Trump fires Rex Tillerson, will nominate Mike Pompeo to replace him (Washington Examiner)

President Trump has fired Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and will nominate CIA Director Mike Pompeo to replace him.

Trump announced via Twitter that Pompeo will do “a fantastic job,” and that Gina Haspel will become the new CIA director.

“I look forward to guiding the world’s finest diplomatic corps in formulating and executing the president’s foreign policy,” Pompeo said Tuesday in a statement released by the White House.

The Washington Post reported Tuesday that Trump asked Tillerson to step aside on Friday, but other reports say the secretary of state learned the news over Twitter. Tillerson thus cut his trip to Africa short to return to Washington. However, State Department spokesman Steve Goldstein said in a statement that Tillerson “did not speak to the President (prior to his firing) and is unaware of the reason.” [Read More]
