GERMANTOWN, Md. – Police say they are investigating the discovery of human remains in a field in Maryland.
A Montgomery County police Facebook post says a resident told police Monday that he had been walking in a field and located what he believed to be human bones.
The initial investigation revealed that the remains were not concealed or located in any type of grave. They say there were no signs of trauma to the remains.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore will complete an autopsy to determine the identity, cause and manner of death.
