Susan Rice Email: Obama Reportedly Met With FBI/DOJ About Steele Dossier (Townhall)
The Senate Judiciary Committee is giving former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice until February 22 to answer questions relating to an email she sent to herself prior to exiting from the Obama administration. It occurred during President Trump’s inauguration. The email contains classified information, so it’s a partial disclosure from the Judiciary Committee, but it seems to show that on January 5, 2017, then-President Obama, Vice President Biden, then-FBI Director James Comey, and then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates had a meeting in the Oval Office about the fallout from the Russian interference in the 2016 election. FBI Director Christopher Wray chided the media Tuesday for covering only two of the agency’s ongoing high-profile investigations.
“Although you would never know it from watching the news, we actually have more than two investigations,” Wray said before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Wray was referring to the FBI’s ongoing probes into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server and Russian influence in the 2016 presidential election.
Wray was answering a question from Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, who asked him to respond to allegations of political bias atop the FBI from President Trump. [Read More]
Ohio high school rallies around prayer after outside group tries to ban it at events (Fox News)
Members of an Ohio community are fighting back after a Wisconsin-based anti-religion group tried to pressure a high school to ban its long-held tradition of praying before sporting events.
Freedom From Religion Foundation Legal Director Rebecca Markert said the organization received a complaint from “two concerned citizens” alleging “serious constitutional violations” at West Branch High School in Beloit.
Upon receiving FFRF’s Jan. 18 cease-and-desist letter, the school district halted the custom of having a local pastor give a nondenominational prayer before sporting events. [Read More]

Disney CEO Throwing Fundraiser To Help Dems Up For Re-Election (Daily Caller)
The CEO and chairman of Walt Disney Co. plans to throw a fundraiser later this month to bolster vulnerable Democratic candidates in upcoming elections.
Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger will throw the Feb. 22 event along with Alan Horn, another chairman at Walt Disney studios and his wife, reports Vanity Fair. Guests are invited to donate $32,400, the highest possible contribution.
The fundraiser is meant to boost six Democratic congressmen like Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin and North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp. Each of the six senators are up for re-election in states that ended up overwhelmingly voting for President Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election. [Read More]
