WASHINGTON — For the second time this year, the Powerball and Mega Millions jackpots are over $300 million.

Currently, Powerball sits at $337 million and the Mega Millions sits at $306 million.

The Maryland Lottery Spokesman Seth Elkin tells WMAL the last Mega Millions jackpot hit was on October 13. Elkin said the winning tickets were sold in Michigan and Rhode Island.

“Make sure you check your ticket to find out whether you’ve won something because it’s not just the jackpot,” said Elkin. “There are nine prize levels in each of these games. So, even if you didn’t match all the numbers, you might still have won something.”

Maryland Lottery offers a free app for iPhones and Androids that allows you to scan your ticket with your phone and immediately verify, if you have won.
