WASHINGTON (WMAL) — Heidi Dull’s third graders at Amidon-Bowen Elementary School got a big surprise today.
Mike Ploger, the in-game host for the Washington Nationals, along with the mascot, Screech, gave the entire class tickets to a Postseason game.
The students have tickets to attend the first game in the National League Division Series on Friday where the Nats will play the reigning World Series champions, the Chicago Cubs.
“While the Nationals are committed to supporting and engaging all of the city’s schools, the Nationals consider Amidon-Bowen our neighborhood school and seek to maintain regular engagement with the students, teachers and administrators year after year,” the Nationals said in a statement.
