WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Is there room for two Cousins in DC? Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins thinks so.
“There’s room for another Cousins in DC,” Cousins tweeted once he learned his cousin, Jake Cousins, had been drafted by the Washington Nationals Tuesday. Jake was taken in the 20th round, 613th overall. He’s a right handed pitcher from the University of Pennsylvania, and like Kirk, is from the Chicago area. The Penn athletics website calls Jake the team’s ace pitcher. He was a unanimous First-Team All Ivy League selection.

Odds are he won’t be on the field at Nats Park this season. He’ll likely start his professional career in the minor leagues.
It wasn’t the only special selection the Nats made in the MLB draft. Manager Dusty Baker’s son, Darren, was drafted by the team as well, but he will likely elect to go to college instead.
