Listen as Larry spoke with RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel about the Virginia governor’s race, James Comey’s testimony and more.
The Chairwoman also discussed the Governor’s race in Virginia:
O’Connor: Listen, I know that you weren’t here four years ago, but you may have heard people talking about it because it sure seemed as though – and we’ve spoken to Mr. Cuccinelli at the time and other people connected to the race – that he did not get the support that he wanted to get, the financial support, the cover from the RNC at the time. They sort of, didn’t think he was going to win, he came so close. What kind of support will the eventual Republican nominee get in the Commonwealth from the RNC? What will you guys be doing from him?
Chairwoman: We are going to be heavily engaged in Virginia. And I think there are lessons to learn from four years ago and the engagement in Virginia. I think that there are things that we could have done to win the Senate seat and the Governor’s seat. So we already put our plan together, we’re going to have a huge get out to vote program in Virginia and we want to win that Governor’s race.
