A Montgomery County School Bus with students on board crashed this morning on River Road.

According to Derek Turner, Spoksman for Montgomery County Schools, “It looks like there was a bus that hit a truck or other trucks.”

The bus was heading towards Walt Whitman High School.

It is not clear who was at fault in the accident and, as of now, there are no reported injuries.

The crash had closed some lanes on River Road during the late rush hour this morning.

The intersection of River Road and Braeburn Parkway has been an exceedingly dangerous one for Whitman Students in the past few years:

Two high profile incidents in 2016, one that killed three and another that injured two, happened at the same place that this school bus crashed today.

The common theme; everyone was headed to Walt Whitman High School.
