EDMONTON, ALBERTA — (WMAL)  Do you know the words to “O Canada?” It might be time to learn them, because our neighbors to the north certainly have our backs when it comes to singing the Star Spangled Banner.

When Canadian country music star Brett Kissel tried to sing the U.S. national anthem prior to the Stanley Cup playoffs game between Anaheim and Edmonton on Sunday evening, his microphone feed to the Rogers Place arena failed so fans could not hear him sing.

No problem. The sellout crowd stepped right in and belted out the anthem – and didn’t need anyone to hold their beers to do it.

Thanks, Canada.
