LISTEN: Former Chairman MIKE ROGERS: I Don’t Think the Trump Administration is Prepared for What May Come Next

Listen as Larry spoke with Former Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Mike Rogers about the missile strikes in Syria, Bashar al-Assad and more.

During the interview, Chairman Rogers expressed a concern about the Trump administration:

O’Connor: We know what’s been wrong in the past, we know all the mistakes made by prior administrations, what confidence level do you have in this administration to be able to solve this very messy issue?

Chairman Rogers: I don’t think they are ready for what’s next. I don’t think they have this long term strategy done, it’s pretty clear to me that they haven’t. The top two floors of appointments – Donald Trump appointments in the Department of Defense and the State Department – haven’t been made yet. So these folks are operating on their own …

O’Connor: So this isn’t a confirmation problem, these are actual appointments not being made?

Chairman Rogers: There’s something going… these power sinners in the White House need to end and soon. Somebody needs to be in charge. This putting one group against the other isn’t helpful. And I’ll tell you why, if you are going to have the military go break something, you need a very competent State Department to help you get out of it. Easy to start the shooting, hard to have both if you want a good settlement here.
