WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Metro announced the plan for next month’s SafeTrack work, which involves the shutdown of two stations on the northern end of the Green Line.

Between April 15 and April 29 the Greenbelt and College Park stations will be closed due to Surge 14.

Free shuttle buses will run between Greenbelt and Prince George’s Plaza, and will stop at College Park as well.

Other stations on the Green Line should not be affected.

Between April 30 and May 14, track work will be focused between the Greenbelt and College Park stations only. The College Park station will reopen, while the Greenbelt station will remain closed.

Free buses will  run between Greenbelt and College Park.

During this surge, Yellow Rush+ trains will not operate.

Riders who normally park and ride at the Greenbelt and College Park stations should consider using other stations.
