Tourists rejoice! The Washington Monument WILL reopen at 9 am on Thursday, June 4 as repairs such as the realignment of the elevator car and testing of the electrical system have been completed, according to Mike Litterst with the National Park Service.
He says tickets sales will be available Thursday on a first-come, first-serve basis starting starting 8:30 am at the Washington Monument lounge located on 15th Street between Madison and Jefferson drives.
