THURMONT– (WMAL) The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office have a warrant out for the arrest of an 18-year-old Frederick County high school student after one of her parents warned police that she was plotting an attack on her school.
The student, Nichole Cevario, was removed from Catoctin High School in Thurmont by officers on March 23 and remains hospitalized at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Officers obtained Cevario’s journal which described plans for a shooting event on a specific date in April as well as a shotgun with ammunition, bomb making materials to include pipes with end caps, shrapnel, fireworks, magnesium tape, and fuse material.
Police say Cevario was plotting the attack for a long time and collecting evidence on school procedures, though no weapons were brought onto school property.
