WMAL’s Steve Burns prides himself on telling stories that will have an impact on listeners’ everyday lives. Whether it is reporting the latest on the beleaguered subway system in the nation’s capital, bringing a magnifying glass to D.C. Council proceedings, or talking with sports fans about D.C.’s few triumphs and many failures, Steve wants to make sure the information he gives his audience is both functional and captivating. Steve has been with WMAL since early 2015. He also serves as the station’s primary weekend anchor.
