One Person Killed, Another Critically Injured In Arlington House Fire

ARLINGTON, VA — (WMAL) One person was killed and another critically injured in a house fire in Arlington Sunday night.

The fire in the 2600 block of South Grant Street broke out shortly before 9 pm. Firefighters found heavy smoke pouring out of the home, and their rescue efforts were hampered by “hoarding conditions” inside the home.

One person was rushed to Virginia Hospital Center in critical condition. The other victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Arlington Fire officials have not released a suspected cause of the fire.
