WASHINGTON — (WMAL) A female bobcat named Ollie escaped from her enclosure at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo this morning.

Ollie, who was wild-born, was last seen at 7:30 a.m. by a zoo keeper, and was reported missing after she didn’t show up to breakfast at 10:40 a.m.

The zoo staff is keeping the area around the bobcat enclosure closed in case she returns.

There is no immediate danger to the community or zoo guests, and bobcats are not known to be aggressive.

The zoo warns that no one should approach the bobcat, and if spotted they should call 202-633-7362.
