D.C. named third most rat-infested city in the U.S. WASHINGTON (ABC7) — Those of you who are not fans of rodents may not want to read this. D.C. has been named the third-most rat-filled city in the United States in 2016, according to a list released Monday by pest control company Orkin. The Nation’s Capital finished behind Chicago and New York on Orkin’s list while Baltimore came in at number six. The release highlighted how fall is the start of “rodent season” with colder temperatures leading rats and mice inside more homes to seek warmth.

5am – E         White House Press Secretary Scoffs At Trump’s Suggestion That Hillary Could Get a Drug Test.

  • The latest sign that Hillary Clinton sees Arizona as a state to win? Michelle Obama will campaign there. First Lady Michelle Obama will campaign for Hillary Clinton in Arizona on Thursday, a clear sign that Democrats see the once-reliable red state as trending in their direction. Obama will be the third Clinton surrogate there this week, following Bernie Sanders on Tuesday and Chelsea Clinton on Wednesday. In addition, the campaign is boosting its television advertising in the state and will be “dramatically expanding” its direct mail and digital advertising efforts there by more than $2 million, campaign manager Robby Mook announced Monday.

6am – A/B/C MELANIA TRUMP BREAKS PUBLIC SILENCE AND DEFENDS HER HUSBAND. How Did She Do?

6am – D         Right-to-die law faces skepticism in U.S. capital: ‘It’s really aimed at old black people’ (Washington Post) – The D.C. Council is poised to approve legislation making the District the nation’s sixth jurisdiction to allow doctors to prescribe lethal drugs to terminally ill residents, adding momentum to a practice that had long been controversial but is gaining acceptance among elected leaders, the medical community and the public. A majority of D.C. Council members say they plan to vote for the bill when it comes before them Tuesday.

6am – E         FBI News:

  • Howard Dean Is Clueless About What He’s Talking About In An MSNBC Interview.
  • FBI Agents Say Comey ‘Stood In The Way’ Of Clinton Email Investigation. (Daily Caller) — FBI agents say the bureau is alarmed over Director James Comey’s decision to not suggest that the Justice Department prosecute Hillary Clinton over her mishandling of classified information. According to an interview transcript given to The Daily Caller, provided by an intermediary who spoke to two federal agents with the bureau last Friday, agents are frustrated by Comey’s leadership. “This is a textbook case where a grand jury should have been convened, but was not. That is appalling,” an FBI special agent who has worked public corruption and criminal cases said of the decision. “We talk about it in the office and don’t know how Comey can keep going.

7am – A         INTERVIEW — MIKE RUBINO – Senior Adviser to the TRUMP Campaign in VIRGINIA

  • TRUMP GROUND GAME IN VIRGINIA:
  • FLASHBACK: LAST WEEK: Trump’s Campaign Is ‘Pulling Out of Virginia’ (NBC News) —  Donald Trump’s campaign is “pulling out of Virginia,” a move that stunned staff in the battleground state, three sources with knowledge of the decision told NBC News. The decision came from Trump’s headquarters in New York and was announced on a conference call late Wednesday that left some Republican Party operatives in the state blindsided. Two staffers directly involved in the GOP’s efforts in Virginia confirmed the decision.
  • FLASHBACK LAST WEEK: Trump Campaign Denies Report That It Has Abandoned Virginia. RICHMOND– (WMAL) The Trump campaign is denying reports that they pulled out from Virginia, despite signs that it switched its focus to other states. Trump’s campaign, however, released this statement today: “We remain absolutely committed to winning in Virginia. While we’re reallocating some of our staff strategically to accommodate early voting in nearby priority states such as North Carolina, our campaign leadership and staffing remains strong in Virginia. Together with the RNC and the state Party, we will have all the resources we need to re-take the Commonwealth at the Presidential level in November, as historically early voting in Virginia is much less of a focus for both parties than in some other states such as North Carolina. Virginians are tired of the same old corruption and double-talk from decades-long Washington insiders like Hillary Clinton, and will vote for change in November.”
  • Trump campaign to spend $2M in Virginia on election ads in closing weeks. Campaign officials with Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said Monday they plan to purchase $2 million in television advertising in key markets as the countdown to Election Day reaches three weeks. Several political analysts had reported last week that Trump was contemplating pulling all of his resources out of the Commonwealth to concentrate on other states. His campaign staff also announced the addition of 19 individuals to Trump’s statewide leadership team. Those members include former Republican gubernatorial candidate and former Attorney General Jerry Kilgore, House of Delegates member Terry Kilgore, R-Gate City, and former Virginia Lt. Gov. John Hager.
  • Poll: Clinton Leads Trump in Virginia by 15 Points. A new poll taken in Virginia after the second debate and the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape showed Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton with a 15 percentage point lead over Republican candidate Donald Trump. The poll of 809 likely Virginia voters by the Wason Center for Public Policy indicated Clinton leads among men, 37 percent to 32 percent, and military households, 38 percent to 32 percent, for the first time. Women’s support of Clinton is nearly double their support for Trump, 50 percent to 26 percent.

7am – B         INTERVIEW — Dr. Ron Harrison, Orkin entomologist

  • C. named third most rat-infested city in the U.S. “Rats can squeeze through a hole the size of a quarter, while mice can fit through a hole the size of a dime making it crucial to prepare for rodent season, whether or not your city made the list,” John Kane, entomologist and Technical Director of Orkin’s Midwest Region says in the release. “Further, where such holes are absent, rodents can create them through constant chewing.” The full list of the top 50 most rat-infested cities in the U.S. can be found below. They are ranked based on the number of Orkin rodent treatments done in each location in the past year. 1. Chicago, 2. New York, 3. Washington D.C.

7am – D         Luke Perry’s AARP cover means you’re old.  (CNN) How is this even possible?

Luke Perry recently turned 50. Let that sink in… Dylan McKay from “Beverly Hills 90210” is half a century old. The actor celebrated his big day on October 11 and we can thank AARP magazine for reminding us. The organization for retired people and seniors (and we don’t mean high school ones) celebrated Perry’s big day by placing him on the cover. Fans proceeded to freak out. It helps to remember that he wasn’t a teen when he appeared on the hit series (he was 24 when the show premiered in 1990). But still, if he’s 50, what does that make the rest of us? Old is what it makes us. It makes us old.

7am – E         Macys to open an hour earlier on Thanksgiving Day. NEW YORK (AP) — Don’t count on Thanksgiving reverting to its traditional status of feasting on turkey and giving thanks. Macy’s announced Monday it was staying committed to Thanksgiving Day shopping, saying it’ll open an hour earlier this year. The move dampened hopes that other key stores will back away from the “Christmas Creep.” The retailer plans to open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving, with most Macy’s stores closing at 2 a.m., and then reopening at 6 a.m. Friday. It cited “ongoing customer interest in shopping on Thanksgiving, both at Macy’s and at many other retailers.”  The department store chain has been open on Thanksgiving evening since 2013, but had remained open through the night. In a statement emailed to The Associated Press, it said it surveyed store employees well in advance about their preferences.

8am – A         INTERVIEW — NOAH POLLAK – Weekly Standard contributor

  • UNESCO to hold new vote on Temple Mount UNESCO to Reconsider Resolution Denying Jewish Ties to Temple Mount. UNESCO passes first vote to deny Jewish ties to Temple Mount.

8am – B         Wikileaks:

  • Wikileaks: Ecuador cut off Julian Assange’s internet. The anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks on Monday afternoon said that the Ecuadorian government has cut off founder Julian Assange’s internet connection. Assange is currently living in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, avoiding a Swedish rape charge. Leaving the embassy to address the charges, he says, would result in his extradition to the United States. WikiLeaks on Monday morning tweeted that Assange’s internet connection had been “intentionally severed by a state party.” “We can confirm Ecuador cut off Assange’s internet access Saturday, 5pm GMT, shortly after publication of Clinton’s Goldman Sachs speechs [sic],” the account tweeted Monday afternoon. The embassy declined to comment on Monday. WikiLeaks has been publishing thousands of documents stolen from the personal email account of Hillary Clinton campaign manager John Podesta. Over the weekend, the organization released the transcripts of three paid speeches Clinton made to Goldman Sachs.
  • Politico Reporter Sends Story To Hillary Aide For Approval, Admits He’s A ‘Hack’ (Politico) – A Politico reporter has been caught sending his journalism to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman for approval. In an April 30, 2015 email, released Monday by WikiLeaks, Politico’s chief political correspondent Glenn Thrush asked John Podesta to approve his writing pre-publication. Thrush begged Podesta not to tell anyone he had shared the copy and referred to himself as “a hack” in the email exchange. “No worries Because I have become a hack I will send u the whole section that pertains to u,” Thrush wrote to Podesta. “Please don’t share or tell anyone I did this Tell me if I fucked up anything.” The Politico reporter then included five paragraphs from a story he would publish May 1 titled: “Hillary’s big-money dilemma.” Podesta replied that, off-the-record, there were “no problems.” The Daily Caller reached out to Politico about the leaked email.

8am – C   Hidden Camera Video Shows Democrats Sent Agitators To Trump Rallies. (Daily Caller) — Operatives working for the Democratic National Committees sent agitators to Donald Trump rallies in an attempt to cause violence — an effort that was supported by the Hillary Clinton campaign. The revelation comes from a hidden camera video released Monday by activist James O’Keefe and an email released by Wikileaks. In the video, liberal activists who say they are in contact with the Clinton campaign claim responsibility for violent events which have occurred so far this election. Scott Foval, National Field Director for a non-profit organization named Americans United for Change, told an undercover reporter, “The [Clinton] campaign pays DNC, DNC pays Democracy Partners, Democracy Partners pays the Foval Group, The Foval Group goes and executes the shit.” What is this “shit” the Foval Group executes? Foval points to Shirley Teeter, a 69-year-old woman who dominated the airwaves after she said she was assaulted at a North Carolina Trump rally.
