Hillary Clinton battled a sinus condition so bad that she had surgery and a follow-up brain scan – but never told voters – her doctor revealed for the first time on Wednesday evening. The Democratic candidate’s health records were partially released after days of prevarication by her campaign and her collapse at New York’s 9/11 memorial on Sunday. 6am – D/E     Pastor interrupts Trump to stop him from attacking Clinton in church. Flint, Michigan (CNN) The pastor who hosted Donald Trump at her church in Flint, Michigan, interrupted the Republican presidential nominee during his speech Wednesday to ask him to refrain from attacking his rival Hillary Clinton. “Mr. Trump, I invited you here to thank us for what we’ve done in Flint, not give a political speech,” Rev. Faith Green Timmons of the Bethel United Methodist Church told Trump after walking to the podium while Trump was speaking. “OK. That’s good. Then I’m going back onto Flint, OK? Flint’s pain is a result of so many different failures,” Trump said. Timmons, in a statement provided at the event, noted her church welcomes “all people.” “This public event is open to all and today Donald Trump came to observe. Trump’s presence at Bethel United Methodist in no way represents an endorsement of his candidacy,” she had said. Moments before Timmons interrupted him, Trump had begun attacking Clinton for supporting free trade agreements, which Trump argued had caused Flint economic pain.

7am – D/E     INTERVIEW – Councilman JOHN TAYLOR CHAPMAN of the Alexandria City Council.

  • Councilors mull Jefferson Davis Highway change
  • City Councilor John Chapman said it seems unreasonable to have a major thoroughfare in Alexandria named after Davis, given his apparent lack of a local connection. “Obviously outside of all the other issues with the Confederacy and the legacy of the Confederacy, for me that’s the [reason] that’s most appealing,” he said. “You have a major highway dedicated to somebody who really didn’t have a whole lot of local impact on Alexandria. If you want to go on the basis of that, you could look for a reason to rename it.”
  • There is a council meeting discussing this THIS SATURDAY at 9:30 AM
  • Councilors mull Jefferson Davis Highway change. (Alexandria Times) — City councilors showed a willingness to consider changing the name of Jefferson Da- vis Highway, but said they want to hear residents’ views before making a decision. And a letter from the Virginia Attorney General’s office earlier this year indicates the city could change the name of the street without approval from the Virginia General Assembly. The city’s ad hoc advisory group on Confederate memo- rials and street names recommended the change for Jefferson Davis Highway, which is the moniker for U.S. Route 1 in the city limits from Potomac Yard into Arlington County, where the name continues.
