Rudy Giuliani is having a moment. And, it bears watching.
His success in turning New York City around from some troubling Ed Koch years (and disastrous David Dinkins years) was to focus on law enforcement, supporting the police, not giving in to the angry mob led by the Al Sharptons of the world, and to speak for the silent majority of New Yorkers (most of whom had never voted for a Republican before) who were tired of their beloved city torn apart by criminals, race hustlers and liberal politicians too terrified to speak out against either.
Traditionally, a Vice Presidential candidate comes from a different state than the Presidential candidate. I wonder if it might be time to break that tradition.
