WASHINGTON — (WMAL) The Metro Transit Police are currently in pursuit to locate Lawrence Nathaniel Harris on charges of simple assault in the District of Columbia.

Harris, 25, allegedly assaulted a female passenger by placing a fluid-filled condom on the woman’s shoulder while riding on the Blue Line towards Largo Town Center.

The woman who Harris assaulted was not physically injured.

She was offered medical assistance but declined it.

The Metro Transit Police were able to identify Harris as the possible suspect due to the use of digital cameras in the station, and he was then positively identified by the victim.

After being identified and the issuance of the arrest warrant, Harris made plans to turn himself in on Thursday morning at a DC police station, but did not show up at the designated time or place.

Metro Transit Police are reaching out to the public to help locate Harris. He is from Northeast D.C.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Lawrence Nathaniel Harris is asked to call Metro Transit Police immediately at (202) 962-2121. Anonymous text tips may be sent to “MyMTPD” (696873).
