SafeTrack Surge #11 – Orange and Silver line trains are single tracking between West Falls Church and East Falls Church from November 28 through December 21, 2016.

• Orange Line trains will run every 20 minutes between Vienna and New Carrollton.
• Silver Line trains will run every 20 minutes between Wiehle-Reston East and Largo Town Center
• Expect crowding on all Orange/Silver line trains.
• Expect crowding on Blue Line trains between Rosslyn and Stadium-Armory due to reduced capacity on Orange/Silver lines

Due to a severe reduction in service, Metro riders who have the ability to do so should consider alternate travel options and avoid traveling during rush hour if possible.

Metro has launched a long-term repair program which, for the first time, will close or limit service on entire stretches of track for weeks at a time. The SafeTrack plan significantly expands maintenance time on weeknights, weekends and midday hours and includes 15 \”Safety Surges\” – long duration track outages for major projects in key parts of the system. The first “Surge” began on June 4^th, 2016, with single-tracking on the Orange and Silver lines, and will continue through at least March of 2017.
