WASHINGTON (WMAL)– Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio will hold a campaign rally Sunday in Loudoun County, Va.
Rubio will appear at Patrick Henry College, a Christian school in Purcellville, in an attempt to appeal to conservative evangelical voters.
The Florida senator has yet to win any primary states. However, according to the most recent Christopher Newport University poll, Rubio came in second among likely GOP voters in Virginia. Rubio also had the highest favorability rating in the entire presidential race, according to the same poll.
Along with 11 other states, Virginia will hold its presidential primary on March 1, or “Super Tuesday.”
Sunday’s event is free, and will take place at 1 p.m. Attendees can register here.
