SNOW? We’re Not Expecting Much, But What We Get Will Gum Up Travel But Good!

WASHINGTON — The Federal Government gave employees the option Wednesday to use unscheduled leave or to telework as an alberta clipper approaches the region. Snow that originally been expected to cross the region during the morning rush hour will now, for the most part, arrive around mid-morning, and fall primarily between 11 and 2 pm.

Most areas are sill expected to receive anywhere from a coating to a couple of inches of snow, as temperatures linger at or just above freezing during the day.  Some places south and east of the District could see mostly rain.

The timing of the snow could prompt some school systems to close early.  Stay with WMAL and WMAL.com for the latest on dismissals.
