Sony Pictures has decided not to release the theatrical showing of "The Interview," a film starring James Franco and Seth Rogan. The film is a comedy about two television journalists hired to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Sony Pictures decided this move after four major chains decided not to show the film in their theaters.
Sony Pictures released a statement Wednesday highlighting its decision to cancel the release.
