- Adele has already sold 2.3 million copies of disc. NEW YORK (AP) — Adele’s new album “25” has sold more than 2.3 million copies in the United States alone during its first three days on the market, a stunning number for a music industry that has seen sales steadily fall in the digital era. To put that into perspective, only Taylor Swift’s “1989,” (released late last year) Drake’s “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” (released in April) and Ed Sheeran’s “x” (in June 2014) have sold as much as one million copies all year so far. Adele’s disc went on sale Friday. Nielsen Music said Monday that Adele will almost certainly break the one-week record for album sales, set by ‘NSYNC in 2000 with 2.4 million for “No Strings Attached.”

Jordan and Sly Stallone give the “Rocky” spinoff a fighting chance to upset “Mockingjay – Part 2” in its second week. “Creed” has an underdog’s shot at an upset that Rocky Balboa would be proud of, potentially knocking out reigning champ “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2” at the box office over the Thanksgiving weekend. But the smart money says no. Pre-release tracking is unusually split on MGM/New Line Cinema’s “Creed,” which Warner Bros. will distribute in more than 3,350 theaters starting Wednesday: The estimates on the PG-13 boxing reboot range from $27 million to $35 million for the five-day Thanksgiving weekend.
- Game of Thrones Teases Return of Jon Snow in New Poster. (Wired) — Ever since Jon Snow (Kit Harington) was stabbed to death “for the Watch” last season on Game of Thrones, fans have been fervently hoping he was not really dead. There were, seriously, so many theories about this. Turns out, those fan theories—or, at least, one of them—might be true. HBO just released a poster for Season 6 of the fantasy show and the only face on it is that of Jon Snow. He looks bloodied and broken, but he’s there. Is he back for real? Is he a ghost? Is this all a cruel joke being played on us by HBO? Twitter is already, well, atwitter over what this could mean. We’ll find out for sure when the show returns in April.
