WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Donald Trump is now official in the Commonwealth.
According to the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV), Trump is the first candidate to officially submit signatures for pre-check review.
This is the first step before signatures go to the state Board of Elections. State law requires 5,000 valid signatures, as well as an additional 200 signatures per Congressional District.
Per usual, the Trump went one step further and submitted 15,000 signatures, all of which have been verified and validated.
The other candidates have less than a month to fulfill these same qualifications to be on the Virginia ballot. The deadline is Dec. 10.
