WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Look out world! Bei Bei is finally walking!

The National Zoo posted a short video of the little cub taking his first clumsy steps around his enclosure.

At the end of the video his mother, Mei Xiang scoops him up into her arms and gives him a bear hug.

Bei Bei is also practicing his little bear roar – he can be heard squeaking throughout the video.

In a few months he’ll have more space to roam when he leaves the den for the much larger panda exhibit at the National Zoo.
