WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Just when you think you’ve heard it all, you hear the place to be this Halloween is a DC water treatment facility.

That’s right: The Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant in Southwest is opening up its doors to the public for tours this week for the holiday.

Tours will show how DC Water is turning waste into energy, and will explain to vistors how the plant treats certain “monsters” in the water.

Does this plan sound like a bit of a stinker to you? Well, it turns out this “Number 2 Tour” may just be a big success.

The tours are already fully booked. Everyone else who wants a tour needs to put their names on waiting list at this point.

Tours are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week.
