RESTON, VA — (WMAL) Great Scott! The city of Reston in Virginia has decided to change its name to ‘Hill Valley’, the fictional town that’s home to Marty McFly and Doc Brown in the 80’s classic, ‘Back To The Future’.

The name-change is honor of the Washington West Film Festival’s Back to the Future (BTTF) Trilogy Marathon taking place in the city.

But don’t get too excited, BTTF fans: You won’t be able to visit ‘Hill Valley’ forever. It’s just a temporary name-change from October 21-25.

We know. This is heavy.

Meanwhile, the timing couldn’t be more perfect: October 21, 2015 is the day Marty skips ahead to from 1985 in the time-traveling Delorean.

The 5th Annual Washington West Film Festival  is hosting the marathon to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the original Back to the Future movie. The entire trilogy will be playing today, ‘Back To The Future Day’, at Bow Tie Cinemas at Reston Town Center.

Or should we call it, Hill Valley Town Center?

‘Hill Valley’ will also see a host of events for the festival on Sunday, including a screening of the documentary ‘Back In Time’, a Back To The Future Red Carpet event as well as a Back To The Future movie screening followed by a Q&A by members of the cast and other special guests.

Christopher Lloyd, who played Doc Brown, will be in attendance at the screening.
