WASHINGTON – (WMAL) Maryland Governor Larry Hogan will host a fundraiser for New Jersey Governor and presidential nominee Chris Christie Thursday afternoon. The fundraiser will be held at the Loews Annapolis hotel.
Both Hogan and Christie are blue-state Republicans. Christie supported Hogan’s run for governor and is believed to have been instrumental in his eventual victory.
Hogan endorsed Christie’s run for president last month.
Hogan has described himself and Christie as “kindred spirits” who have a similar political style. One Christie adviser even called them “two peas in a pod”.
Meanwhile, the Maryland political group, Working Families, will be holding a press conference asking Hogan not to support Christie’s sick day policy.
The press conference will be held Thursday afternoon at the same hotel as the fundraiser.
