WH Press Sec: Media ‘Fearmongering’ Over Trump’s Actions

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt Wednesday accused the media of “fearmongering the American people” into believing the “narrative” that the efforts from President Donald Trump and Elon Musk to cut back government spending have led to a constitutional crisis.

“I’ve been hearing those words a lot lately,” she told members of the media at the daily White House press briefing, reports Mediaite. “The real constitutional crisis is taking place within our judicial branch, where district court judges in liberal districts across the country are abusing their power to unilaterally block President Trump’s basic executive authority.”

Federal judges have blocked several of Trump’s actions including freezing spending on federal grants and loans, banning birthright citizenship, and dismantling the U.S. Agency on International Development (USAID).
