Another week has gone by and things are getting more exciting. I keep hearing comments about wasteful spending by local, state, and federal leaders. I thought it might be a good time to share in a little more detail about the ESSER/ARP funding that is in every state across the country. The ESSER funding is really part of a bigger plan to “fundamentally transform” America. Remember that statement? This agenda began to take form during the Obama administration, took a pause during the Trump administration, then went full speed ahead during the Biden administration where they took advantage of Covid to roll it out.
On Thursday, March 11, 2021, the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act was signed into law. It is an unprecedented $1.9 trillion package of assistance measures, including $122 billion for the ARP Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund. Funds were provided to State educational agencies and school districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the Nation’s students.
More specifically this authorizes the LEA to use ARP ESSER funds to develop strategies and implement public health protocols including, “to the greatest extent practicable, policies in line with guidance from the CDC for the reopening and operation of school facilities to effectively maintain the health and safety of students, educators, and other staff.”
The bigger issue is that this funding was used to drive the mission to reset the way our American children think about themselves and their country. The Federal Register uses the key words “social emotional learning” which makes it harder to link to critical race theory. The Volume 2 Handbook outlines LGBTQ, racism & activism etc. It appears schools are being funded and are expected to follow these handbook guidelines created by Miguel Cardona, the Secretary of US Department of Education. Click HERE and HERE for the ED Covid-19 handbook volumes 1 and 2. (take note of numbered pages 8 and 9 from volume 2 addressing social and emotional learning)
These Federal ED Covid-19 handbooks are black and white proof showing the agenda of the Biden administration for the future of LCPS and ultimately our Country. Why am I sharing this now? Because Jennifer Wexton was and is a supporter of this rollout. As you may remember, I shared her letter to the Governor inquiring about this funding. This is the kind of information that our GOP Congressional candidates need to know to arm themselves against Jennifer Wexton and to address these issues in Washington. We the People need to hold all individuals from the CDC to the Federal Government responsible for their egregious mismanagement of our taxpayer dollars but also their attempt to fundamentally transform our American ideals. The takeaway from all this is that the American people have been played. I ask now, who is willing to stand publicly and call them out?
