President Biden’s poll numbers have hit a new low following a disastrous trip to Europe. While war continues to wage abroad and inflation and gas prices continue to rise here at home the president’s approval rating has fallen to just 40%, according to the latest NBC poll.
- Lowest poll yet: the NBC poll showing Biden’s approval rating slipping to 40% marks the lowest approval rating he’s received during his tenure as president.
- 7 in 10 Americans stated that they had a low confidence in President Biden’s ability to manage Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. 8 in 10 voiced concerns that the invasion will only continue to raise gas prices and could result in a nuclear conflict.
- Midterms looming: democrats are currently terrified of the ripple effect that Biden’s tanking poll numbers may have on races around the country. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez raised the red flag last week saying, ‘We do not have much more time to wait because these falling poll numbers”.
- Republicans led the way by a two-point margin amongst those surveyed on which party should control Congress following the Fall midterm elections, according to the poll.
