Rep. Boebert Calls for ATF to Delete Records

By WMAL.com

The freshman Congresswoman from Colorado Lauren Boerbert is once again making headlines following her taunting and provocative attire at last week’s State of the Union address. On Tuesday, Boebert voiced her opposition to a Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Explosives (ATF) gun registry in a joint statement delivered on the steps on the Capitol.

  • No Registry Rights Act: was the bill Boebert was supporting during Tuesday’s joint address. The bill was introduced by Rep. Michael Cloud (R-TX) and would require the ATF to destroy its gun sales and transfers records.
  • FFLs records: the bill also would put an end to the Federal Firearms License holders (FFL) to destroy their records pertaining to sales and transfers.
  • The Second Amendment Caucus: has supported this bill in its current form.
  • Shots fired: “[The NO REGISTRY Rights Act] would act like BleachBit, something that Hillary Clinton made famous, and would require that these records be deleted,” said Boebert about the bill.
