As Russia’s invasion into the Ukraine intensifies, the cost of gas here in America continues to rise. On Sunday, the national average per gallon of gas rose to over $4, marking the first time it had risen this high since 2008.
- 41 cents: the amount that the cost per gallon rose in America since the Russia-Ukraine conflict began, according to AAA motor club.
- Russian oil: Congress and the White House have not yet moved to ban the import of Russian oil or place energy sanctions on the country.
- $5.29 per gallon: the current cost of gas in California.
