RUSSIAN GROUND TROOPS EDGE CLOSER TO KYIV AS EXPLOSIONS CONTINUE

As of this morning, loud explosions have been reported in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital and largest city. This comes as Russia’s invasion into Ukraine continues to escalate.  

  • According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, 137 Ukrainian troops have been killed since the violence erupted earlier this week.  
  • President Zelensky has announced a full military mobilization, barring all men ages 18-60 from departing the country.  
  •  A senior official at the Pentagon believes Russia’s strategy is to encircle the capital city in an effort to “decapitate” Ukraine’s government.  
  • The U.N. announced that an approximated 100,000 Ukrainian women and children have fled the country.
