MARYLAND – A Frederick city woman got a threatening letter in the mail last Sunday in response to a Biden/Harris sign she had on her lawn according to the Frederick Police Department.

Lt. Kirk Henneberry said the woman found the letter tucked behind her mailbox and told police about it. Not only did it threaten people with Biden/Harris signs, according to Henneberry, but it also threatened Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris.

The woman’s doorbell camera caught a picture of the man who dropped off the letter. Since he threatened Biden and Harris in addition to the woman, the Secret Service is helping Frederick Police try to figure out the man’s identity.

“Every now and then we’ll get a report of somebody tampering with an election sign, but haven’t…I can’t recall any cases where we had a person actually put a…a pretty explicit letter on somebody’s house,” Henneberry said.

He said they want people to feel comfortable displaying political signs without feeling threatened.
