Washington, DC — The Washington Tattoo is proud to announce its historic collaboration with the renowned Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo. This prestigious event will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Lisner Auditorium, offering audiences an unparalleled celebration of military music, cultural heritage, and international collaboration.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in The Washington Tattoo’s mission to inspire and uplift communities through the power of music and the arts. By uniting with the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, one of the world’s most celebrated military music organizations, The Washington Tattoo is poised to expand its outreach initiatives supporting veteran mental health and mentorship for at-risk youth in Washington, DC.

The event at Lisner Auditorium will feature world-class performances by military bands, drill teams, pipes and drums, vocal ensembles, and cultural dance troupes, showcasing the rich heritage of both organizations. The event directly supports two cornerstone programs of The Washington Tattoo:
- Rudiments to Recovery: A music wellness program designed to help veterans struggling with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries by using the therapeutic power of music.
- Rudiments to Opportunity: A mentorship initiative providing at-risk youth with access to music education, leadership development, and creative expression.
With the support of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, The Washington Tattoo aims to expand these programs, reaching more than 1,500 veterans and over 3,000 youth in the DC area by the end of 2025. This collaboration is made possible by the shared vision of both organizations to use the arts as a bridge for connection, understanding, and empowerment. The March 29th event promises to be a spectacular evening of artistry and tradition, demonstrating the transformative power of music to unite and inspire.
